We like to travel together quite a bit and in the last few years have been to Italy, Disney World (x3), California, and upstate New York. We also have a trip to Paris and London in a little over two weeks from now! Of course, with all of this traveling and exploring, we tend to do a good amount of eating and shopping together, but those happen to be two of my favorite things. No matter if it is a quick cup of coffee to a full meal or window shopping to a splurge-session, we have plenty of fun and enjoy trying new things together.
Lush was having a Mother's Day contest recently (I believe it is still going on) where to enter, you had to comment on Instagram or tweet some advice your mom has given you. when I thought about what to comment, I realized how many wonderful things my mom has told me over the years. She has always tried to give me self-confidence, "Never let someone make you feel any lesser than you are," set my priorities straight, "It's not how you look on the outside that matters, it's what's on the inside that counts," and encouraged me to do my best in all things, "You can accomplish anything you set your mind to." So thank your mother this sunday, or any mother-figure you may have in your life, for all that she does. I personally can't wait to treat my mom to a nice, relaxing day filled with her favorite things.
Disney World this past February 2014
I was supposed to run a half marathon but couldn't due to an injury, but my mom made sure we still had a great time and tried to hide everything running-related from me so I wouldn't be upset.
Grabbing lunch at Saladworks down by Rutgers where I attend college, nothing better than a healthy lunch and good conversation.
Disney World 2014 again, My lovely mother has never been too good at this game, but it doesn't stop her from having some fun.
Joking around in Target, when I spotted the sign I couldn't resist taking this adorable picture
Relaxing with fancy coffee drinks in Venice, Italy 2010
This trip was so amazing and I adored Venice most of all, I'd love to go back someday.
Muir Woods, CA in 2011
My mom works for the Environmental Protection Agency and loves trees, so she was in heaven here.
